TrustMe Desktop
TrustMe Desktop is a comfortable, unobtrusive and intuitive application that protects your email by encrypting it and verifying the recipient before it can be opened. Nobody can read your email while it is in transit. There are not any complicated steps to send or retrieve secure email - TrustMe automatically encrypts messages designated as secure before they're sent and decrypts them as they're received without fuss.
TrustMe Desktop works with any email application or webmail provider including Microsoft® Outlook, Eudora®, Thunderbird™, Windows Live™ Hotmail, Gmail™, Yahoo!® Mail or your organization's webmail host of choice. TrustMe has also created a customized plug-in for Outlook that offer increased functionality as part of the TrustMe Desktop package.
How It Works
TrustMe is free so you can share it with your friends, family and coworkers. Once installed the application runs as a tray icon until required. You may organize your TrustMe contacts into secure public and private groups - then easily send and receive email and attachments using Microsoft Outlook or your webmail provider of choice.
The TrustMe stand-alone application or Microsoft Outlook plug-in uses industry standard encryption to secure the message and only permit your intended recipient to read it when it arrives at its intended destination. TrustMe protects you from email fraud by guaranteeing that the sender of a secure email is really the sender.
Why Is TrustMe Desktop Free?
The short answer is because we can afford to make this software free because of our corporate software sales. We don't think it makes sense to collect a few dollars for security and privacy software that we believe should be free and accessible to everyone.
The longer answer is that the more users TrustMe attracts with our free desktop software the higher the business demand for Gateway and Administrator. In retrospect, this was actually the shorter answer.
